More specifically, I am part of the research group Global Refugee Studies and I am involved at the African Network on Learning, Innovation and Competence Building Systems (AfricaLics) project (see www.africalics.org) and the project titled ‘Mapping the migration decision of Syrian refugees in larger Turkish cities (MAFSSRT)’ .
I hold a MSc Development and International Relations / Specialization Global Refugee Studies from Aalborg University and a MA European studies from University of Leuven. I have an interdisciplinary approach to Political Sciences and International Relations and I have researched a variety of topics, such as the Syrian population in Turkey and the EU response to the so-called refugee crisis.
I originally come from the island of Crete in Greece, but I have spent some years living in Brussels too. On an everyday basis, my office is at the Copenhagen campus. I am very excited to be part of this academic environment and work at Aalborg University.
