The series will explore issues related to displacement, migration and integration through presentations by MIX, national and international scholars across the global north and south.
In each seminar, one particular topic will be explored from different angles within an overarching theoretical or empirical framework.
The seminars will run at least once a month and be open to all. In the first seminar on September 29, 2022, we will explore how migration and displacement pressures from sub-Saharan and North Africa combined with far-reaching EU externalization policies put pressure on Tunisia and produce violent borderlands that migrants need to navigate at their peril. The seminar features AAU PhD student Ahlam Chemlali, independent Tunisian researcher Adnen El-Ghali and Professor Steffen Jensen. See events for more information.
